Breast Lift

As a woman ages, factors such as pregnancy and weight loss can cause skin and tissue laxity in the breasts. Dr. Aaronson’s breast lift surgery, or mastopexy, can address sagging and loss of elasticity in the breasts by tightening the tissue and reshaping the breasts for a more youthful and balanced look.

What Can Breast Lift Surgery Improve?

Your Breast Lift Procedure

Consultation

During your consultation, Dr. Aaronson will evaluate the size and shape of the breasts, skin elasticity, and nipple and areola placement to determine the best surgical technique.

Techniques

The degree of sagging will affect the surgical incision pattern used.

  • Circumareolar (Donut) Breast Lift: Can correct mild to moderate sagging and requires an incision around the perimeter of the areola.
  • Inverted-T (Anchor) Lift: Used to correct severe sagging. Requires an incision around the areola, down the breast, and across the inframammary fold. This degree of ptosis will likely lead to a much longer incision and has the potential for more scarring.

Combining Procedures

Your breast lift procedure may be performed in conjunction with breast augmentation or breast reduction surgery to achieve your desired results.

Testimonials

My friends who’ve been to Dr. Aaronson had very natural-looking results. I never suspected they’d had surgery until they told me!”

Concerns

After surgery, the breasts will be wrapped with a compression garment. Swelling and bruising may occur but should resolve after a few days. While most patients can return to work after about one week, they should avoid exercise and strenuous activity for several weeks.
All surgery of the breasts require incisions and thus the possibility of noticeable scars. With time, the scars will fade. You will be given treatment for the incisions that will help to minimize the scars.
The cost of a breast lift procedure will depend on the specific technique performed. Dr. Aaronson will provide you with a clear price estimate during your scheduled consultation.
The breasts will likely be swollen for the first few days with minimal discomfort. These symptoms can be controlled with prescribed medications.
