Laser Resurfacing

Laser Resurfacing is an advanced method to remove the top layer of skin which lessens and/or removes facial wrinkles. An added benefit is that the skin often tightens as a result of this procedure. The recuperation period is two weeks. The procedure is performed in segments if the color of the skin is fair and the areas of concern are limited to aesthetic units of the face such as the area around the mouth, the lower eyelids and/or crow’s feet. Usually, performing the laser resurfacing to the entire face eases any color mismatch of the skin. One of the temporary post surgical changes is complexion pinkness, however, this is less obvious if the entire face is pink (it’s also easier to cover with makeup). Most patients find that the laser resurfacing improves the appearance of wrinkles of the upper and lower lip better than fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm.
