Brow Lift

The more we age, the more our forehead tissues weaken, which can result in sagging eyebrows and unwanted wrinkles and lines. While some patients attempt to remedy these imperfections with at-home treatments, they cannot always address the signs of aging on their own. Brow lift surgery, also known as forehead lift surgery, can lift and rejuvenate a patient’s eyebrows and smooth their forehead for a more relaxed and youthful appearance.

What Can a Brow Lift Improve?

Your Brow Lift Procedure

During your consultation, Dr. Aaronson will review your medical history and examine the condition of your eyebrows to determine the amount of correction needed.

Brow lift surgery is performed on an outpatient basis. Local or general anesthesia will be used depending on the surgical technique.

Endoscopic brow lift surgery is a less invasive procedure that requires minimal incisions to be made on the scalp. The endoscope will allow Dr. Aaronson to visualize the area to alter and tighten the underlying brow muscles. However, this technique does not effectively remove excess skin from the forehead.

Hairline brow lift surgery will occasionally be used and requires an incision to be made along the hairline of the forehead from one ear to the other. This technique will allow Dr. Aaronson to lift the brows and remove excess skin while lowering the patient’s hairline.

Before & After Photos

The overall effect isn’t obvious. We don’t have friends saying, ‘Wow! You’ve had some work done!’ Instead they compliment us on our appearance and ask, ‘What’s your secret?’”

Your recovery will depend on the extent of your brow lift procedure. Following your surgery, a dressing will be placed around your head to protect your new contours. Swelling and bruising will occur but should resolve after a few days. Make sure to keep your head elevated. You will be able to return to work one week after your surgery.
Brow lifts are designed to minimize any visible scarring. Scarring will fade over time.
The cost of your brow lift surgery will vary depending on several factors, such as surgical fees and anesthesia fees. Dr. Aaronson will go over all expenses during your scheduled consultation to determine the best plan to reach your aesthetic goals.
You may experience discomfort and tightness in the forehead and brows following your surgery. Dr. Aaronson will prescribe pain medication to help you with this.
