Laser Resurfacing

Sun damage, improper skin care, and other factors can result in wrinkles, fine lines, and other imperfections. While some patients look into invasive surgical procedures to address these noticeable signs of facial aging, others may be hesitant due to the extensive recovery time that comes with surgery. Laser resurfacing is an advanced, non-surgical method that removes the damaged top layer of skin to produce a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Benefits of Laser Resurfacing

Your Laser Resurfacing Treatment

During your consultation, Dr. Aaronson will go over your medical history and examine the condition of your skin to determine the ideal approach for your unique laser resurfacing treatment.

Laser skin resurfacing is typically performed using IV sedation with local anesthesia or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of correction needed.

Your treatment will be performed in segments if the skin is fair and the areas of concern are limited to aesthetic units of the face, such as the area around the mouth, lower eyelids, and crow’s feet. During your procedure, a laser will be used to treat the damaged layer of skin. As the laser energy penetrates the surface of your skin, it will also increase the production of collagen and tighten the skin to produce a healthier and smoother complexion.

Before & After Photos

Everything was explained and there were no surprises at any point, except that the whole process was so easy.”

Healing depends on the condition of the skin before the procedure is performed and the depth of the resurfacing. Usually, the initial healing takes seven to 10 days. The face will be temporarily pink but this should fade over the next several months. Make sure you avoid direct exposure to sunlight and use sunscreen to protect your skin as it heals.
The cost of your laser resurfacing treatment depends on certain factors, such as the number of areas treated and anesthesia fees. Dr. Aaronson will provide you with a cost estimate tailored to your aesthetic goals during your consultation.
Any discomfort following your treatment can be managed with pain medication prescribed to you by Dr. Aaronson.
